“It was unfortunate. That was kind of an interaction with our fans seated near me,” Jones stated during a Tuesday interview. “There was a large group of Dallas supporters—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The whole venue was filled with excitement for the Dallas team.”
He further emphasized that the gesture was completely unintentional, occurring amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I just showed the incorrect digit,” he remarked. “The action was inadvertently performed. This is sincere. If you want to call it unplanned, you can. However, it got corrected pretty quick.”
